Twin Barrel Idiots …

So, whilst US President George ‘Dubbya’ continues to shoot himself in the foot with incomprehensible sentences in English, so Dick Cheney, his No 2 simply has to go one better.

Whilst visiting a ranch to hunt quail over the weekend, the 46th Vice President missed his target and shot fellow hunter 78-yr Harry Whittington, in the face, neck and chest.

Ranch owner Katharine Armstrong said Mr Cheney had turned round to shoot at a bird, unaware that Mr Whittington was behind him, "The covey flushed and the vice-president picked out a bird and was following it and shot. And by God, Harry was in the line of fire and got peppered pretty good."

Yee-haar pilgrim …

Both of them need to brush up on their hunting skills … Cheney should not have swung round unless he knew where his fellow hunters were and Whittington should have kept his bloody eyes open.

Head Rush …

After a Danish newspaper published a cartoon of Muhammad, the Muslim world quickly reacted by burning and stamping on the Danes flag. “It‘s an outrage”, screamed the Muslims. But why should a cartoon of a religious God be offensive? But how can one explain why the cartoons themselves were so offensive, since no-one could seriously claim that he or she recognised the features of the Prophet in any of the images drawn by the Danish cartoonists. After all (and you‘ll have to pin your earholes open for this one), ‘no-one knows what the Prophet Muhammad looked like’.

Cartoon:
1) a drawing depicting a humorous situation, often accompanied by a caption.
2) a drawing representing current public figures or issues symbolically and often satirically: a political cartoon.

It should be pointed out that in the self same carton, were also images depicting Christian and Jewish Gods … and I don’t see anyone from the Christian world burning the Danish flag.

For years now, Christians and the Jews have been taking the piss out of their God in theatrical musicals, comedy films, television sketches, books and cartoons. I don’t see Christians and Jews burning flag or books or videos or DVDs in the streets. In the 1960’s and 70‘s ‘Charlie Hebdo’, the French satirical newspaper, regularly had front-cover cartoons lampooning religious leaders and deities.

The Embassy-burning, flag-stamping, unhappy Islamists then demonstrated in London, with placards calling for the death of the Danish cartoonist and the ‘bombing’ of Denmark … err, isn’t that what the original cartoon was lampooning??

“Clearly, some of these placards are incitement to violence, and indeed incitement to murder - an extremely serious offence” said UK Shadow home secretary David Davis.

There was I thinking that the Islamists didn’t recognise Christianity or Judaism … then I find this; “The leader of Egypt's opposition Muslim Brotherhood has joined Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in calling the Nazi Holocaust a "myth". You can find it here; http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4554986.stm

Again, I don’t see the world’s Jews burning down Egyptian Embassies all over the place.

Here's a little something that didn't even raise an eyebrow; http://www.metacafe.com/watch/63576/jesus_must_survive/

Embrace where you live and how the world sees you. Integrate and tolerate.

For fuck’s sake.
